Phase 5
The measure of responsible resource extraction is not what was taken — it is what was left behind. Reconstruction and restoration are not afterthoughts. They are the goal.
The Vision
The desert photograph on our home page was taken in active exploration country in Arizona — saguaro, cholla, mesquite, mountains in the clouds. That is not a vision of what a mine was. That is a vision of what a mine site should look like when the work is done.
Terra Min Exploration LLC was built on the belief that extraction and stewardship are not incompatible. Science-based resource management means understanding natural systems well enough to work within them — and to restore them when the work is complete.
This page is not about greenwashing. It is about geology, hydrology, ecology, and the hard work of reconstruction. Every project we engage with is evaluated from the outset against this standard.
3D Modeling & Reconstruction
Accurate 3D geological models are the foundation of both resource extraction and site restoration. You cannot restore what you do not understand. We build models that capture the pre-extraction geology, the resource geometry, and the structural framework needed for both mine planning and reclamation design.
Active research includes novel in-situ recovery (ISR) systems for deep chalcocite deposits — extraction methodologies that minimize surface disturbance entirely, leaving the landscape structurally intact from the surface while recovering resources from depth.
Services
Cross-section and longitudinal section construction, drill target geometry design, and interactive 3D deliverables integrating drill data, geophysics, and surface geology. Pre- and post-extraction models for reclamation planning.
In-situ recovery well field design and development for copper and other leachable metals. Injection/recovery well networks, hydrological control systems, and monitoring programs that minimize surface disturbance.
Science-based site reclamation assessment integrating geologic, hydrologic, and ecological data. Pre-disturbance baseline characterization and post-extraction restoration modeling.
Active Research
Terra Min Exploration LLC is conducting active independent research into novel thermosiphon bioleach architectures for deep chalcocite deposits — a self-driving in-situ recovery system that extracts copper from depth without open-pit or underground excavation.
This research is directly aligned with our core mission: responsible harvesting of mineral resources in a way the land can sustain. ISR at depth means no tailings, no waste rock, no pit wall, no surface scar. The land above remains structurally and ecologically intact.
Active ISR research is being applied to porphyry copper targets in Arizona, where deep chalcocite blankets beneath oxidized profiles represent significant untapped resources accessible without conventional mining methods.
This work builds on direct field experience at the Gunnison Cu Porphyry ISR project in Cochise County, Arizona — one of Arizona's first commercial ISR copper operations — where Terra Min coordinated 40+ injection and recovery wells and hydrological control systems.
